How will your little one benefit from coming to the Feathernest Nursery?
The nursery has capacity for children aged up to 5 years old provides a small friendly setting for your little one to develop.
We have a small team of staff who are employed full time to allow building relationships and getting to know your child’s individual needs and interests
Parents are encouraged to speak with us at any time, participate in outings, help us to develop plans and take part in the assessment of their child’s development.
One of the strongest aspects is that our children are exposed to outdoor experiences on a daily basis. Daily we visit a variety of places in the local area such as Kingston library, Kingston museum, Sure Start centre, Richmond Park, local playgrounds and Fairfield Park. We also go on outings further afield such as Ham House, Natural History Museum, National Gallery, Kingston Fire Station, Kew Gardens, Southbank Centre, London Aquarium, London Transport Museum and city farms. We recognise that getting out into the real world and seeing life in action captures their imagination and reinforces learning and development.
We organise regular extra-curricular activities such as ballet at St Luke’s Church, swimming at Kingfisher Center, storytellers, dance and yoga sessions and discovering new languages such as Portuguese and Spanish.
“We cannot speak highly enough of the staff and setting at the Feathernest Nursery. The activities and pastoral care they provide go well beyond most nurseries, and we have seen our daughter develop both socially and intellectually, into a bright, loving and happy child. A relocation has meant a much longer journey to the nursery, but there has never been any question about moving her anywhere else.”
